The Hare & Hounds Hotel, Westonbirt Wedding Photographer – Laura & Johnny

Laura & Johnny were hoping for a gin blue sky, frosty winter wedding but were greeted with high winds and grey skies but this didn’t dampen their spirits.  Laura looked stunning in her elegant Ritva Westenius dress and when she walked down the aisle of the church, Johnny was beaming with pride.  Their reception was held at The Hare & Hounds Hotel at Westonbirt; a favourite place for us as we often frequent the bar after a walk in the nearby arboretum.  Guests enjoyed mulled wine and canapés whilst we took Laura & Johnny off outside for some photos in the grounds.  The speeches were toasted with champagne and a shot of Polish cherry vodka; Wisniowka being a particular favourite of Johnny’s.  The couple had requested lots of ‘scene setter shots’ of the venue for their album so we made sure we took lots of photos of the paintings and pictures around the hotel, I think the other hotel guests thought we were slightly mad.  One of the images from the pre-shoot was presented to the couple as a signature board on which guests wrote their best wishes, making a wonderful frameable memento of their day.  We had a lovely day and thanks to all the guests for standing in the blustery weather for a few group shots.

“We love the pictures so much, thank you. You have captured our day perfectly and it’s so nice to see that we weren’t the only ones having fun! I always used to say I would give the person who managed to take a picture of me that I actually liked a million pounds – you have managed to take dozens!!!! Honestly, if I had it, I’d be writing the cheque to you now!  It was great for us to have some time out together for the romantic shots while you unobtrusively snapped away and we had so much fun with you both and our friends in the wedding party in the library shots too. (Gillian, where is the one where you joined us on the sofa!?!)  Thank you both so much.  Laura & Johnny”
