What a great day to get married at Cripps Barn: our wedding anniversary! We’ve photographed a couple of weddings on previous anniversaries and it was lovely to share Vicki & Chris’ special day. Vicki’s bouquet contained her Grandmother’s favourite flower; a Scabious, it was lovely to see this personal touch of remembrance and the bridesmaids’ dresses, flowers and cake all reflected the colour scheme of shades of lavender. Chris & I had a very busy couple of days exhibiting at the Stone Barn.  The venue decided to open their doors on Friday evening so that couples could experience Stone Barn at night: romantic candles, twinkling lights, roaring log fires and of course, that huge barbecue.   We were also there on the Saturday, a very cold, crisp day with blue skies.  They were running a competition to upload pictures to #stonebarnopenday and we decided to submit some photos so that couples can see a different perspective of the barn.  Of course, we love photographing weddings at both Stone Barn and Cripps Read More

We were lucky enough to have warm, evening Autumn sunshine at Vicki & Chris’ wedding at Cripps Barn.  Stunning venue, beautiful light and a lovely couple to work with.  It’s great to see the groom tackling the bride’s flowing veil whilst trying to remove a few persistent Crane Flies.  I thought about giving him some assistance but then I couldn’t take close up photos, could I?  Anyway, it’s much more fun to stand back and watch the groom get in a pickle with lots of soft tulle!
